On Monday, Congress will start transition from current Constitution to New Constitution



La Paz, Feb 05 (ABI).- National Congress is waiting promulgation of New Constitution which would be promulgated next Saturday and subsequently on Monday they would start approbation of temporary legislations in order to legislate while a new congress must be established.

MAS Representative, Rene Martinez informed (ABI), that process of transition will be carried out in order to establish New Constitution.

He explained that from February to December, there is a period, in which we must work, in all aspects related to New Constitution and new Congress.

He contextualized contrasting some facts in different countries where their Constitutions were modified or changed, because in those countries were adopted three aspects; the conformation of commissions who would have to work in the transition process; to elect new authorities; but also there are processes where both constitutions, last and new are mixed in order to create a New Constitution.

"In Bolivia, if elections are not carried out, won’t function New Constitution, that is why transition process." Martinez cleared.



TRANSITION REGULATIONS


New Constitution establishes that after its promulgation Bolivian Congress will establish a new Electoral Structure, it will create a different election of Representatives.

General Election will be carried out next December, 2009 and Departmental and Municipal Elections next April, 2010.
